FIREBIRD acrylic on canvas 40’’ X 40’’ $2400
“When I prepare a new painting, I take out the tubes of primary colors and greens, a bit of white and of black. The canvas size varies with my mood. All of these colors and preparations, together, give off an incredible energy. When my mood requires a bigger, broader, more unbridled stroke, I choose a larger surface.” Each work of art by Québec artist Huguette Thiboutot relates an emotion. She invites you on a journey to the heart of her imagination.
Huguette Thiboutot is not only a painter, she is also a writer. This Quebecer has made a career of teaching piano and organ. A lifelong writer, her pen is fiery, intense and creative.
Huguette Thiboutot is from Princeville, located in the heart of Québec in the beautiful Bois-Francs region. After teaching piano and organ, she turns to her canvases, colours and brushes. She paints day and night. Her work is exhibited in Montréal, Québec, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Paris. Her imagination is fed by her musical life, travels and many visits to museums. By sharing her story, she hopes to not be forgotten.
